Candidates with a strong background in coastal and riverine restoration, fluvial geomorphology, and aquatic organism passage at culverts, bridges and ladders will be viewed favorably. General qualifications desired include experience with GPS surveying, Civil3D, HEC-RAS and/or other H&H modeling software, construction inspection and management, erosion control, soil science, earthwork/grading plans, levee design, and/or pump stations. Demonstrated oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are essential. Candidates must be self-motivated, goal oriented, and able to work with and solve problems in close team-based relationships. Candidates must be able to perform field work that includes strenuous outdoor activity in difficult environmental conditions. Completion of safety training for all-terrain vehicle operation may be required.

A close working relationship with local, state, and federal personnel, private landowners, and other conservation partners will be an important aspect of the job. The position will require sometimes extensive travel throughout the Pacific Northwest.
