Student Travel Grants

Student travel grants will be awarded to help offset conference expenses for students. Recipients must be AEES members. Students may apply for travel grants when they complete the registration form, which is linked below. U.S.-based students are eligible to apply (funds cannot be used to bring people who are in other countries to the conference). Undergraduate students are eligible to apply even if they're not presenting, but graduate students must plan to present in order to be eligible for the travel grant. For undergraduates, preference will be given to those who are presenting or who are officers of an ecological engineering student organization. Preference will also be given to those who indicate a high level of need (would not be able to attend without travel grant funding) and those with long travel distances. Those who are underrepresented in science and engineering are especially encouraged to apply.

Student conference grant applications will be accepted from March 1st to April 15th.  More information will be emailed directly to students upon registration. Awardees will be notified by April 22nd of the award level. Grant payments will be issued as a reimbursement following the conference; additional instructions for requesting travel grant payments will be provided with the award notification email. Students awarded a travel grant are required to stay at the conference hotel.
