About the event

Join us Friday, Aug 28, 12 - 12:30 PM ET,  as we feature Miriam Boucher, Ph.D. Candidate, Clemson University for her talk titled, "Life and Plastic: Exploring Alligator Ingested Microplastics." Miriam will discuss alligators' ability to act as sentinels for environmental contamination through their exposure to microplastic and forever chemicals. Miriam is a Canadian that is easily distracted by reptiles. Her research and conservation work spans the Americas from the Atlantic Forest in Brazil, to coastal Belize, and the prairies of southern Alberta in Canada. 


Students are highly encouraged to join the AEES Student Committee meeting following the presentation.
