Early Career Committee
The AEES Early Career Committee (ECC) exists to enhance the value of early career professional membership in AEES. We help students successfully transition into professional roles, build networks, and find their place as active contributors to the Society.
The ECC focuses on:
-
Membership Retention & Growth – Supporting the transition from student to professional membership and ensuring AEES is a lasting professional home.
-
Professional Development – Hosting webinars, trainings, and discussions that address challenges unique to early career professionals.
-
Networking & Engagement – Creating opportunities for early career members to connect with one another, engage with other AEES committees, and step into leadership roles.
-
Promoting Society Goals – Strengthening the voice of early career professionals while advancing AEES’s mission.
The ECC enhances the early career experience by organizing professional development webinars throughout the year, coordinating conference programming such as networking socials, award recognition, and early career panels, and collaborating across AEES committees to ensure early career voices are included in Society-wide initiatives.
