C.W. Bill Young Hall (CWY) is a four-story, 53,000 square-foot building and is the university's most technologically advanced educational facility. It houses the Joint Military Leadership Center (JMLC), as well as the university's Air Force, Army and Navy ROTC programs.

Parking

Parking is available for those who requested it in their registration forms. The lots available for conference attendees to park are Lots #21 and #37 which are located next to the conference venue (CWY Hall)

We highly encourage conference attendees seeking accommodations to book through the AEES room block at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham USF.

A Conference Group Rate is available at the La Quinta Hotel for $109.00 per night plus tax. Our reservation includes checking in on Monday, June 5th and checking out on Friday, June 9th, 2023. The room block is open for reservations and closes on May 15, 2023.

If you are looking for transportation to get back and forth in Tampa during your visit, Tampa offers a variety of public transportation options: Uber, Lyft, local express and neighborhood buses, downtown TECO Line Streetcar, and more.

Student Travel and Accommodation Scholarships

These funds for accommodation and travel assistance were already distributed and no longer available. 

NSF Student Accommodation Scholarship

Accommodation at USF student housing will be made available at ​no cost for 50 registered AEES student members who require financial assistance to attend this event. Housing will be available in 4-bedroom apartments in buildings within walking distance from the conference building.

AEES Student Travel Award

A limited number of travel grants are available from AEES for students that couldn't attend this conference without this travel assistance.

 

To be considered for either or both awards, please follow the following guidelines:

  • You must be a currently enrolled student and AEES member to be considered.

  • You must be an author of a presentation already accepted for either poster or oral format.

  • To be consider for either or both forms of assistance, you must complete the conference registration form, pay the registration, and answer the following questions upon registration:

  • You must select "Yes,  I would like to opt for financial assistance"
  • You must choose between applying for the NSF accommodation scholarship, the AEES student travel award, or both.

  • Please explain how you are going to benefit from attending this conference (250 word limit)

  • How is receiving this scholarship essential for your attendance at the 2023 AEES Annual Meeting? (250 word limit)

  • If you are requesting an AEES Student Travel Award please include your advisor's name and email below 

  • You must complete the registration no later than April 15.

  • If you receive any of these awards, you must participate in the "Ecological Engineering Professional Opportunities" Panel and subsequent flip interview afterwards. These will take place on June 6 (the first afternoon of the conference)
